Hello, List Folks - Bill Blandin has collected one hundred+ new data lines for the CamWood Obits Index, bringing the total number of lines to over 9800. The CamWood Project is an on-going collection of obituaries started several years ago by the CamWood Genealogical Workshop with additions from the Stanwood Area Historical Society's files. The online index is "expanded" - in addition to surname, given name and date of death, each data line includes the birth name, place of birth and date of birth (if given in the obit). Where possible, information about married women has been entered under married names as well as birth names. Most obituaries in the collection date from the early 1960s to the present; many earlier obits have been obtained from the files of the Stanwood Area Historical Society. The collection covers the Stanwood area (Snohomish County), Camano Island (Island County) and the extreme south-western part of Skagit County. You can access the Index (and learn how to get copies of obits) at http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~wasigs/camwoodintro.htm Regards to all.... Marge
