    2. Marge Reid
    3. Pssssssstt... Here's a chance to be one of the first to test drive what may well be THE greatest thing since sliced bread - a new Snohomish County online research tool! Karen Prasse of the League of Snohomish County Heritage Organizations has announced a Google Custom Search Engine located on the League's Front Page at http://www.snocoheritage.org/ Karen describes the search function thusly - "Search Snohomish County Heritage Websites - including the League and member websites - including their stories and articles. Try searching a place name, road name, people, any word that has been listed on one of our member websites". When I personally tested this search tool, I used TULALIP as the search string - many many hits from a plethora of SnoCo sites! Websites searched also include several strictly "genealogical" sites. Try out the search engine and tell Karen about your experience - write to her at info@snocoheritage.org What a great gift the League of Snohomish County Heritage Organizations has given all of us! As you progress in genealogy you will learn to identify what you know for the researchers. Genealogy is like a crime scene, you must explore ALL the clues to find the right suspect. The 1850 Census for Gainesville, Wyoming County, New York, enumerated 28 August 1850. Freeman Nelson, age 42 (circa 1807/1808), shoemaker, born in Massachusettes Celinda, age 40 (circa 1809/1810), born in Rhode Island Mary, 15, born in Massachusettes Freeman, 13, New York Gardiner, 11, NY Andrew 10?? Louise? 9? Alice 2 George 3/12. The census was enumerated the 28th day of August 1850, so George was born about May/June 1850. I find a family tree owned by Allyannea, in Minneapolis, MN, that has this family in a family tree. Nelson Freeman was born 5 November 1807 in MA. He married Celinda Keech in 1834. In 1860 they had moved to Stockton, Portage Co, Wisconsin. After George was born William Henry Nelson 1854 to 1930. This person has no further information on George in the online tree, but in many cases additional information is not online. I sent a message for this person to read this thread. Additional questions found during census enumerations. The Washington Death Certificate Index has: -- a George M. Nelson death on 16 August 1931 in Washington at age 80 years and 2 months (1851).
