    3. Hello all, It sounds as though the Stillaguamish Valley Genealogical Society added a lot of value to the book, but if you just want to look at it you can find it on Heritage Quest.... Hi, Thank you so much!  The $45.00 is cheapier than what I saw (after I posted the message, I thought I'd try Abe, Amazon et cetera).  I am certain that the volunteers (bless their hearts!) spent quite some time, it is a book with many pages. 3. I think you will like the way the book was reprinted. We used high quality, acid free paper, and like I said, added an every-name index. It makes fascinating reading, just to learn about what those men and women went through during World War I. Michele On Mar 30, 2009, at 10:05 PM, L. K. wrote: > Hi, > > Thank you so much! 2. Michele/Steve Heiderer
    3. Hello, We do not have any sort of DSL were I live in north Snohomish County. Dial-up is getting to be a real hassle. I'm interested in trying Hughesnet satellite internet service but it's pricey and I want to know if it really works as well as the ads claim. If any of you have experience with this ISP, please email me off-list at kellen2000@seanet.com and let me know what you think. Thanks, Michele

    3. Hi Michele, Boy, I tried every trick I could think of and I can't tell. I don't see them in 1900 or 1920, can't find either of them dying in Snohomish County, even looked at the plat maps and couldn't see their property. You might try Karen Prasse or the folks at the Stanwood Museum. I'd love to know who they are too.... 3. Hello, According to www.snoco.org (the Snohomish County web site) the plat of "Galena City" was filed by John N Scott on November 16, 1891. It was in Twp 28 N, Range 11 East. If you would like a photo of the plat from the 1910 Anderson Plat book I can send it. Just email me at lacquer@comcast.net The legal description was: "The Sunday Star Quartz Mine and mill site, the Homesake Quartz Mine and mill site and the Silver Creek Placer Claim No. 1. Containing 69 64/100 acres in Snohomish County. Mr. Scott "reserved all minerals beneath the surface of said streets and alleys and the right to mine, take and remove all minerals therefrom."
