Author: RBestrom7380 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.washington.counties.snohomish/5256.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: The Washington State Library has a free research service, the ask-a-librarian program, where they will look for information in the archives, in this case the newspaper microfilm for an event, such as an obituary. They will look up to an hour and send you the results. Contact them at: http://www.secstate.wa.gov/library/ask.aspx . Depending on the amount of requests, it could take up to a couple of weeks. As far as Divorce, those records are public records and available in the county where the divorce was finalized. You would need to know WHERE, and then contact the clerk of the court. If you do know where, I can give more information as to research. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 2. M V REID
    3. Hello, List People - Historic Everett is planning an event in Mukilteo on Saturday, August 15th. This is a great chance to learn about the history of Mukilteo and its pioneer families. EPL's David Dilgard will present an illustrated lecture at Rose Hill School and then will guide attendees in a tour of the cemetery. Costumed members of the Mukilteo Historical Society will share "their" histories. The event starts at Rose Hill Schook, 304 Lincoln Ave in Mukilteo at 10 AM, and then drive to Pioneer Cemetery (unless the group decides to "walk and talk"). Cost for the event is $10 ($5 for members of the Mukilteo and Everett heritage groups). New on the SIGS website - an addition to the Special Projects (for Snohomish County) - an expanded index to obituaries from the Everett Herald (1910-1913) as reprinted in The Sounder. (An "expanded index" gives more information than just name and source,) Margaret Robe Summitt, editor of The Sounder publishes additional obituaries in each issue; the online version of the index will be updated each quarter. Find this new Special Project at http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~wasigs/EvHerObitIndex1INTRO.htm Regards to all...
