His son, David Bisbey was my stepfather. David has three daughters (two of which it looks like you have contact information on). Cheryl, Sylvia, and Elaine. Cheryl was born in 1956, Sylvia born in 1957, and Elaine born in 1959. After my mother (listed in one part as Sharon Bisbey) and David divorsed, we lost contact with the girls. In fact, I was looking for them when I stumbled on your query. You wondered about his life. I can tell you that he and Lorena lived on a farm in Stanwood for many years. Their home was a beautiful yellow farmhouse. Grandpa Charlie took great care of his yard and home. He was caring. In about 1970 he had a stroke and had some paralysis in his left side. It didn't stop him from driving the tractor and taking care of animals. He was a heavy smoker most of his life. I was only 12 when he died, but I remember him very well. Best of luck to you. SSN 553-01-9619 issued in California in 1952. The Washington Death Index: Leo M. Callaway, born about 1895, died 12 July 1985 in Marysville, residence in Marysville. SSN: 533-01-9619 (a SSN beginning with 533 would have been issued in Washington, this is "probably" a typo). There is nothing else about this person located online. I checked the Snoho County Recorder, no documents found. You could "try" for an obituary: The Washington State Library has a free research service, the ask-a-librarian program, where they will look for information in the archives, in this case the newspaper microfilm for an event, such as an obituary. They will look up to an hour and send you the results. Contact them at: http://www.secstate.wa.gov/library/ask.aspx . --but, if there was no one desiring to pay for one, there would not have been one published. There "might" have been a death notice, which "might" identify the name of the funeral home; or might just be the name and date of death. A lot of elderly do not have obituaries published, for reason of cost, length of time residing in an area, or no family/friends in the area. Her SSN was issued in California in 1952, but no idea on when she may have moved to Washington. Because both the SSDI and the WDI identified her residence in Marysville, that's probably where she died. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
