He is survived by a son, Lee (Leland) Williamson of Everett, a daughter, Mrs. Frank H. Pennell (Madge) of Seattle and a brother George Williamson of Lake Stevens. Mr. Williamson was born September 17, 1844, at Centerville, OH. At the age of 18, July 16, 1863, he enlisted at Centerville with the 50th Iowa Cavalry and was mustered out of service May 17, 1865, at Davenport, Iowa. He was a member of John Buford post No. 89 G.A.R. The body is at the chapel at Broadway and Wall. Funeral arrangements will be announce later. I find John Williamson in Everett 1910 census with wife Anna living with S.C. White and wife Madge. By 1920 Madge had remarried Frank Pennell and was noted in 1920 Seattle census with him. Brother George Williamson b/1851 OH and wife Jennie and son Sherman was to young for civil war. Even though it says John Williamson served in 50th IA Cav. I find no 50th IA Cav I do find a 50th IA Inf. uncompleted and not assigned. I do find John Williamson with dates of servce same in 8th IA Cav so suspect this is his service. Have not found John Williamson in Pension records.

Services will be held from Maulsby & Sons Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, the Rev. R.D. Nicholis officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery. Louis Carbino served in 7th NY Co. A Heavy Art. and 60th NY Co. G Infantry and requested pension from that service in 1890 from NY. I find Lewis Carlino age 88 widow in 1920 Lowell census noted b/NY living as boarder with George & Clara Wadell. Carbino is spelled several ways could not find Lewis and family in any census. George Johnson served with 77th Co.D & 130th Co. E ILL Infantry.

Mr. Rock requested pension in 1890 for that service from the state of MN. I find Theo Rock in 1910 Ev. census age 73 and widow says came to US 1855 b/Canada and parents b/Canada I find Theo in 1920 EV census with no information other then inmate at hospital and along with him is a Sylvia Rock with no other information then inmate at hospital. I cannot find Theo Rock in the 1880 census and nothing is mentioned in his obit as to surviving relatives. If you are researching this family would love to hear from you. [email protected]

I cannot find Tobias in any census I do find Mrs Ella Bray with husband Eugene T. in 1920 but Tobias is not noted living with them. Nor is he living with anyone named Kjelland in WA. Tobias served in 5th MN Inf. as private I did not find any pension record for Mr. Oleson. Would love to hear from anyone researching this family.

Interment was in Evergreen cemetery. I find Walter Holcomb in 1920 Snohomish Co. census living alone and single at age 72. He notes b/West VA and parents b/NY Walter Holcomb served with 12th IN Cavalry as a private he requested pension from that service in 1891 from the state of CA.

JUDD 81 YEARS OLD, DIES ON MONDAY EVENING Was a Past President of the Snohomish County Bar Association SERVED IN CIVIL WAR; CAME TO CITY IN 1901 G.S. Judd, widely known Everett attorney, died at his home 3329 Oakes avenue, early Monday evening. He had been ill for several weeks. Attorney Judd was born in Massachusetts. In 1845 the family moved to Wisconsin. At the outbreak of the Civil war Mr. Judd joined the Union forces and participated in major campaigns with the rank of Lieutenant. Mr. Judd later moved to Kentucky, where he was married and established a law office. He had met Mrs. Judd while in the service. In 1901, after the death of his wife, Attorney Judd came to Everett and entered the practice of law. He tried his first case before P.K. Lewis in justice court. Mr. Judd became prominent in the legal affairs of Snohomish and Island counties and served the Snohomish County Bar association as president. Despite his advance age, Mr. Judd continued to visit his office each day until six months ago when he gave up his practice. He was a member of the First Christian church in the activities of which he ! was prominent for more than twenty years. He served for years on the church board, as Sunday school superintendent and as an elder. He led the choir for many years as a tenor and later led it with his violin. Mr. Judd led a life of service. In his younger days he tramped through the Olympics and was familiar with the many flowers, shrubs and birds of the Puget Sound district. Surviving is a daughter, Miss Jessie Judd; three nieces Mrs. J.A. Baker of 2928 Oakes, Mary Hulett, residing at the Judd residence in Everett, and Elizabeth Judd of Anacortes, and a nephew Charles Judd, living at Anacortes. Distant relatives reside in Everett. A brother Edwin Judd died at age 96 years old. Edwin Judd was one of the organizers of the republican party in Wisconsin during the days of Abraham Lincoln. The body of Mr. Judd is at a mortuary at Broadway and Wall. I find Gilbert Judd in Mason Co. KY in 1880 living with his wife Mary parents Samuel S. Miner 1808 CT Araminta 1817 KY William 1859 KY Gilbert Judd 1841MA (death record says 1841-11/26/1923WA) Mary 1841 KY ( per obit she died before moving to WA) Jessie B. 1874 KY (death record says 1871-11/22/1937 WA) Mary S. 1878 KY 1820 Snohomish Co. WA census Gilbert S Judd age 78 widow Jessie B. daughter age 48 single Gilbert Judd served with 103 OH Inf. Co. F as a Corp, at end of service noted as Adjt. he requested pension in 1900 from that service from the stae of KY.

I cannot find Clark Frink in any census nor Mary after his death! Son, George B Frink is in Ev. 1910 but neither Clark nor Mary are there! Funeral records say Clark was b/2/14/1842 parents are Benj F. Frink & Anna Fairchild both from NY. does not state where Clark was born. Clark died 12/1/1923 his wife Mary C. Frink was born 3/29/1852 and parents were noted as Harry A. Cooper and Ellen Elliott both of Canada she died 11/13/1933 Children I have noted are George B, Warren E., Arthur F, Howard E. and Mrs. T.F. Wheelock (Ellen May) George Frink obit said he was born Redwood Falls MN. I find a C.W. French with sons Frank and Willie noted he was widower... Clark W. served in 1st MI Light Artillery Co. E & B as private in Civil war he requested pension from that service from MN cannot read date but looks like 1882 or 92.... his wife Mary requested pension at his death in 1923 from WA.

Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery. I find Ferdinand Leese in Huron Co. Rubicon MI in 1880 with son August noted as farmer age 53 but do not find wife or other children with him. I find Annie 1861, Fritz 1867, Gotlieb 1863, Gustan 1865, Zena 1869 living in another household in Rubicon Annie notes all to be her siblings. Says she is housekeeper and they attend school. by 1910 I find Ferdinand with Johanna and Otto, Robert and some grandchildren. Ferdinand served with 1st MI Inf. no company noted and reqested pension from that service in 1907 from MI. Johanna reqested pension in 1914 and not sure why because Ferdinand did not die till 1923?

He was approaching his 76th birthday anniversary. Mr. Duryee had been in failing health for the past month and last Wednesday had been removed to the hospital for an operation. Schuyler Duryee was born at Bayonne, N.J., January 13, 1847. With is family he moved to New York city in 1856 where he was educated in the public schools and later followed mercantile pursuit. In 1871 he became a clerk in the war department in Washington D.C., and two years later was appointed clerk in the office of the chief of Engineers, United States army. In 1873 he was made chief of the general record direction in that office, which position he held until 1881, when he was appointed chief of the assignment and copying division in the United States patent office. In 1883 he was made chief clerk of the patent office and four years later to enter the practice of patent law in Wash! ington city. In this he was successful, but later, in 1889 accepted an appointment as chief clerk of the patent office. He resigned again in November, 1891 to become general manager of the Everett Land company, a corporation organized for the building of the city of Everett. On November 15, 1891 Mr. Duryee and his family moved at Lowell and several months later moved to Everett. He was vice president and general manager of the Everett Land company, vice president and treasurer of the Everett Water company, president of the Everett Railway and Electric company, director in the Everett National bank and a trustee in various corporations that were under the control of the Everett Land company. In March, 1897 he resigned from the various offices held in Everett and went to Gold Creek, Nev., as manager of the Gold Creek Mining company and affiliated companies. Mr. Duryee continued his residence in Nevada and California until 1906, practicing patent and mining law. He was i! n San Francisco at the time of the big conflagration and earthquake in April 1906. After returning to Everett in the spring of 1906, he resumed the practice of patent law. Early in 1892 Mr. Duryee built one of the first homes in Everett, constructing a residence at the southeast corner of Thirty-second and Rockefeller. At that time the first surveys were being made for Hewitt ave. Mr. Duryee was a republican in politics, an ardent supporter of Roosevelt and had an extensive acquaintance among public men. He was unusually well informed upon all matters of public interest. He wrote and published technical books, including Duryee’s “Assignments of Patent Rights”, etc, which are still standard works. Mr. Duryee was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Everett and of the Knights of Pythias. The Everett pioneer was married to Margaret A. Devoe at Fort Plain, New York, October 12, 1875. Following their marriage Mr. & Mrs. Duryee made their home at Falls Church, Virginia, until coming West. Mr. Duryee is survi! ved by his wife, Margaret A. Duryee, four sons, Dr. Albert P. Duryee, Daniel A. Duryee, of Everett, and Leverich S. Duryee and Kore T. Duryee, Seattle; a daughter, Mrs. H.G. Sutton of Bainbridge island, and a sister, Mrs. Pamela R. Peabody, Cambridge, MA. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the First Presbyterian church, the Rev George T Gunter, officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery. Challacombe & Fickel undertakers are in charge of the arrangements. Schuyler Duryee served in 1st NY Veteran Cavalry Co. D. and was noted as POW on 3/6/1864 at Snickersville, VA Paroled 10/17/1864.
