Mrs. Geddis was born in Iron River, Wisconsin, October 1, 1900, and has lived in Everett most of her life. Surviving relatives are one daughter, Mrs. June Russell of Seattle, one son, Robert Geddis of 1039 Woodlawn Avenue., six sisters, Mrs. Ben Frolich of 2818 Everett Avenue. Mrs. Julia Seling of 1609 Rockefeller Avenue, Mrs. Emma Anderson and Mrs. Bertha Liske , both of Seattle, Mrs. Tony Bush of Kelso and Mrs. Hilda LeRoy of Kalama; one brother, Fred Blanc of Mount Vernon, and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the chapel of the Solie Funeral Home.The Rev. Edwin Johnson will conduct the services. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

The Seattle Genealogical Society presents a two-day seminar: Using Your Computer in Genealogical Research on Saturday, November 6, and Sunday, November 7, at the Sand Point Education Center, 6208 40th Ave. N.E., Seattle. Four general-topic tracks will be featured: "Genealogical Databases," and "Computer Search Techniques" from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and "Digital Aids and Publishing" and "Ethnic Background Research by Computer" from 1 to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. Six lectures will be presented in each track on Saturday and four in each track on Sunday. Participants may attend any lecture in any track to hear knowledgeable and interesting presenters on the varied topics. Seminar fee for both days is $50 for members of the Society, $60 for nonmembers, if registered before October 10 ($55 and $65 thereafter). One day only registrations are available. Jones, 80 years old, died Sunday at his home 5406 First Street, Lowell. He was a veteran of the Civil war serving as a private in Battery M, First Regiment of Michigan light artillery. Surviving are a brother, Frank Jones of Lowell, and three nieces, Mrs. C. J. Deman of Fortson, Mrs. H. O. Easton of Anacortes, and Flavia Jones of Lowell. Furneral services will be held fromt eh chapel of Chalacombe & Fickel, Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. The Rev. R.D. Nicholls will officate. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. Silas H. Jones served in 1st MI light artillery Co. E. in the civil war as a private. He requested pension for that service from MI in 1890 and was receiving that pension at the time of his death 10/10/1926. He was living with his brother Frank in 1880 Emmet, MI. Also in 1920 census with Frank in Everett, Snohomish Co. WA. noted as single. Nothing reflects a marriage or family.
