PayPal is the latest victim of internet hackers. Despite the company?s seemingly perfect security system, a serious security flaw in the ADDRESS CONFIRMATION PROCESS of PayPal?s members? accounts has been discovered by a few experienced hackers from Russia. The hacking process has been simplified a while ago and it was revealed on a Russian language hacking website. PayPal was immediately alerted of this security flaw after the Russian language hacking tutorial was published on the website, but in order to prevent its customers from losing trust in internet banking, PayPal chose NOT to alert its customers of this security flaw and has then secretly BANNED numerous online articles that contained information of this security flaw. However, it has been confirmed that due to technical difficulty, PayPal has NOT yet fixed the problem and at this moment right now, anyone can STILL hack into a great number of PayPal accounts with confirmed addresses. To inform users worldwide of this problem, I?ve attached an English version of the hacking process. Remember, to get the whole thing to work, you MUST STRICTLY follow the instructions and have a PayPal account with a confirmed mailing address! HACKING PROCESS: Every PayPal member is identified by his/her Email and the majority of the PayPal members use Hotmail. After completion of the mailing address confirmation process, usually by adding a CREDIT CARD, PayPal automatically sends the user?s address confirmation info to a mailerbot associated with the user?s Email, in most cases, it?s Hotmail mailerbot. The security flaw occurs RIGHT HERE! Both Yahoo and Hotmail mailerbots can be confused by a random user and sends out information saved on its server to that user. To get PayPal account information of numerous random PayPal users from a Hotmail mailerbot, you have to do the following: 1) Log into your www.paypal.com homepage, and click on ?Profile?, and then click on ?Street Address? under ?Account Information?. 2) Find the Address whose status is ?Home?, and if it says ?confirmed?, then please read on. Basically, A Confirmed Address is any address at which you receive your credit card statement. If you receive a credit card bill at this address, you can confirm it by entering your credit card information. This information will only be used to confirm your address. Your card will not be charged by PayPal. So, if your Home address is NOT confirmed, then FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ON PAYPAL AND ADD A CREDIT CARD TO CONFIRM YOUR MAILING ADDRESS. 3) Okay, There are two bots which this will work for. I. Everett Daily Herald 10/1/1923 Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Ellen Barndt, second cousin of the late President Warren G. Harding, were held this Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock form the mortuary of Cahallacombe & Fickel. The impressive service at the chapel was in charge of the Order of Eastern Star. The Rev. O.H. King read the service at Evergreen cemetery. Mrs. Barndt, who died Thursday at Aberdeen, WA, resided at 3011 Gedney street. She was born in Seneca County, OH 5/19/1848 and was married to Loxley TY. Barndt 7/24/1864, the ceremony took place at Findlay, OH. The Everett woman was a descendant on her fathers side of one of that sturdy band who came to America in the Mayflower. She was taken ill while on a visit to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Zetta B. Averill at Aberdeen. President Harding died while she was ill and she expressed profound regret that she was unable to attend a memorial service, having attended similar services for the three martyred presidents, Lincoln, Garfiel! d and McKinley. The Everett woman was in Buffalo at the time President McKinley was shot. Mrs. Barndt was a granddaughter of Colonel Crawford prominent in the Indian wars. She came to (could not read) ago having been preceded to; the West a few months before by her husband. She is survived by four of seven children, John J. of Aberdeen, S.D.; Benjamin B. of Seattle, Mrs. Myrtle Stewart and Mrs. Zetta B. Averill of Aberdeen, WA. There are four grandchildren, Mrs. Barndt is also survived by two sisters and two brothers in Ohio, Mrs. Laura Conmrine(?), Mrs. Irena Ewing, Ellis S. Crawford and William S. Crawford. Mr. Barndt died in Everett in 1902. Mrs. Barndt was a member of the Christian church, the Order of the Eastern Star, the Ladies of the G.A.R., the Elderbloom club And a life member in the W.C.T.U. All members of the immediate family were in Everett for the services on Saturday.

Ole, Christian and Herman Olsen Sandberg left Nes, Akershus, Norway and went all the way to Snohomish County. All of them died in the 1970th's more than 90 years old. I am seeking their descendants, and I have seen at the web that there are families with the surname Sandberg and Wahl in cities like Everett, Puyalluo, Port Angeles, Emberton, Shoreline and Snohomish. I also found Mrs. Clara (Sandberg) Wahl's obituaries from her death in June 2002, which gave valuable information. She was Ole's daugther, born in 1910, and she married J. Hakon Wahl in 1930. I beleive his family once came from Trondheim, Norway. She also had two sisters, Olga Thorson of Seattle and Alice Barker of Spokane, and a brother Herald Sandberg. Lord, at Chehalis. Several years ago Mr. Lord conducted Lord’s café on Colby avenue between Wall and Hewitt. Mr. Lord was born in New York. He served in the Civil war and in 1863 was commissioned a major. He saw service with the Fifth and Thirteenth Missouri Cav regiments and with the Fourteenth Illinois cavalry. Mr. Lord participated in the Missouri and Kentucky campaigns and Sheridan’s offense. The former Everett man is survived by his wife and son. He was a thirty-second degree Mason; a live member of Palestine commander an honorary member of Peninsular lodge and a member of Everett chapter No 24 and Everett council No 8 Masonic fraternities. He also held membership in the G.A.R. and in the Loyal Legion of America. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the mortuary of Challacombe & Fickel, the R! ev Edgar M. Rogers officiating. Peninsular lodge will have charge of the services at the grave. Members of Palestine commandery will act as escort. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery. William A. Lord requested pension from his service from WA and at his death his wife Nellie J. requested pension.

Mehan at Providence hospital yesterday there passed from the scene one of Everett's best-known pioneers. M.C. was born in Irleland in 1844. In 1849 he came with his parents to the U.S. and settled in N.J. later removing to Illinois and Superior WI. and comming to Everett in 1892. A widow and one son survive, the later being Harry C. Mehan, of Roy, WA. As Mr. Mehan is of civil war age I researched his name and could not find a M.C. nor a McCormick serving. I did however find a Cormick Mehan serving with 4th NY Heavy Art. joined age 21 in 1863 which was close to his age.. McCormick and his wife Jennie E and son Edgar and son Harry C are buried at Evergreen cemetery. If anyone is researching this surname would love to connect.

Searching the family of James Crain of Everett WA. He married Anna and they had 4 children: Ethel, Arabella, Howard and Roy. James died in January 1918. He left a brother, Edward, also of WA. The only info I have comes from census records. I am interested in locating the A.R. Manlsby & Sons Funeral Home in the hope of finding an obituary. For anyone who is interested, Joseph Parr died in California, Siskyou Co 03-Sep-1913; Lewis Parr of Homeacres is a brother of the aforementioned Steven, also died in CA 1945; second wife of Lewis, Jennie/Mary Jane McDonald/Gordon; said Jennie Parr died in Everett Feb 22 1949, interred in Evergreen; as are several of her children including Robert W. Gordon [07-Jul-1893-.14-Aug-1984] Census searches [1850/-60/-70] suggest that Ira Parr is from Washington Co/Ohio, son of Samuel Parr.

The pre-meeting workshop starts at 6 pm; SIGS is resuming "Write Your Own Story" workshops, led by Margaret Robe Summitt. This is also a good opportunity to learn how to write genealogical queries that WORK! The general membership meeting starts at 7, and at 7:30, Mr. Jim Mitchell, author of "Lake Stevens, My Town", will do a presentation on - you guessed it! - Lake Stevens!
