Family ties were unknown in Snohomish county at the time..." (not going any further with this quote. wheeeew) Personal note the 1870 Census for Snohomish county lists many marriages and lots of children. However, the first 'white' woman did not appeared in this area until the midish 1870's.. Also Skagit County was part of Whatcom county until 1880? census.
