My name is Lisa and not Jason Champagne as the header says. : - ) I have been researching a family member TERESA BEEBE (deceased) and other family members who are still living with the last name CENTER. For the moment, I am waiting on some info to come back from a person who is doing a lookup for me. Depending on what she finds, I may be finished with my research here. Even so, if anyone finds themselves needing information on someone who lived/lives in Solano County, CA, I would be more than happy to help out. 3. From: Robert John Totino, Sr <totino@cio.net> Most of my research takes place back in VA & PA & NY area. But I am trying to find the ancestry of my step-grandfather, Enos Emory Cudmore who came from CANADA to Sedro-Woolley sometime around 1922. He married my Grandmother, Fredolina Ruth ENGEL, KEMMERER in 1952 in Everett, WA. I am also interested in the ROBBINS family which came from NC to Rockport, Skagit Co around the 2nd World War. They are my cousins that I am so proud of. Bob Totino

    3. Hi Michael. August is a terrific time to visit the Pacific Northwest and especially Skagit County. I have found mention of Adair in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery. I don't have that book at this location right now but hope to remember to bring it with me tomorrow. Have you visited the http://www.rootsweb.com/~waskagit/ . It is the Skagit County Page for the USGenWeb Project... It does have a search engine... That did not show any Adair's <sigh> Visiting Bellingham and Skagit County will probably be very helpful for you. The Skagit County Genealogy Group are nice. The Funeral homes are helpful. The Cemeteries are beautiful. etc.etc. Darilee ---------- > From: Michael Adair <MAdair1960@webtv.net> > To: WASKAGIT-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: James G. 3. Hello! I'm new to the list. I'm searching for information on my grandfather's eldest brother and any of his descendants. James G. ADAIR, Jr., son of James G. and Mary Jane (IRWIN) ADAIR, born abt. 1884 in Dakota Territory and raised on the family homestead in Argyle Twp., Sanilac Co., MI. He left the family farm abt. 1905 and "went west" with a buddy. From old post cards and photographs, I've determined that he spent some time with some maternal relatives in Hillboro, ND and Newdale, Manitoba before ending up in Mt. Vernon, WA. Also inferred from the old letters, he married Kate (-?-) some time between 1905 & 1912. They had 2 sons that I am aware of: Alfred ADAIR b. abt 1912 in Unknown, d. abt 1993 in Mountlake Terrace, WA George Walter ADAIR b. abt 1913 in Unknown, d. abt 1993 in Mt. Vernon, WA Does anyone recognize any of this info? My grandmother tried locating these relatives without success in the early 1970's (she died in 1976 and left all of her old photos etc. to my uncle who gave them to me and my sister 2 years ago). I will be vacationing/visiting my brother in Bellingham, WA this August and hope to be able to research this branch of my family while I'm out there. Thanks in advance Mike Adair Port Huron, MI

    1. PAYNE
    2. Yesterday, while at the Library searching for an obit for an online friend who has relatives buried here in the St. Helena, California Cemetery, I ran across the following. I thought it might be something someone was looking for. If this is your family, and you would like a picture of the gravestone, contact me. Also, I can send the article out of the newspaper. Diane Biggar-Taylor (born in Auburn, WA) St. Helena Star, St. Helena, California April 1913 DEATH FOLLOWS LONG ILLNESS Miss Laura Payne, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Payne, died Monday morning at 1:10 o'clock at the home of her parents, four miles East of St. Helena, death following a long illness. Miss Payne's health began to fail four years ago, and about a year later she was taken out of school in the hopes that outdoor life might restore her to health and strength. The family resided at Mt. Vernon, Washington, and the climate being damp, it was finally decided that a change must be made, so St. Helena was chosen as a home and Mr. and Mrs. Payne and two daughters came here eighteen months ago. The change was made too late, however, the young lady continuing to fail, a victim of consumption. For several months life hung by a thread and death was not unexpected. Deceased was born at Mt. Vernon, Wash., April 4, 1894. She was possessed of a sweet, lovable disposition that greatly endeared her to all. She is survived by her parents and one sister, Alberta. The funeral took place from the undertaking parlors of the J. S. Noble Co. Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. James Mitchell officiating. The pall bearers were Ivan, Arthur, and Marshall Hobson and William Dinning. The remains were laid to rest in the St. Helena cemetery
