Soper is o old Maryland name. I have them in my ancestry. I'm sorry I don't have at the moment my records with me, but look on the MDGenWeb site and also while there look under the Montgomery county, Md site. Mary Virgina Soper was a dressmaker in Washington about 1891. She's my g-grandmother. I have yet to find her on a census record, or anything else but a couple of city directory entries. I have heard that she had a son, but I have no information on him other than that he is supposed to have lived in Maryland.
