Hello Joe, Thanks for your help in looking into this matter. Indeed this Cathell is a descendent of James Cathell of the Eastern Shore through his son, Jonathan (and two more Jonathans in sequence as well!). I have a copy of Ralph W. Cathell's book, and I'm pretty sure I've heard something about the other author you mentioned. Arthur P. Connelly's "All Five of his Sons..." is probably an attempt to correct some of the erroneous information originally published as newspaper article under the first part of that title. This involves the second Jonathan Cathell along with his brothers and cousins. There WERE five of them shown in the Revolutionary War records. I'd be glad to exchange information with your cousin, although I fear that what I have is very little and quite remote from his branch of the family. One of their daughters nancy Livingston married William Causey son of Samuel of Patrick or patrick. and William and nancy's son Uriah Fooks Causey migrated to Baltimore City in the 1830's where he had 17 kids by two wives the second the neice of the first wife...
