    3. The Soper I am looking for is something of an enigma. Mary Virgina Soper was a dressmaker in Washington about 1891. She's my g-grandmother. I have yet to find her on a census record, or anything else but a couple of city directory entries. I have heard that she had a son, but I have no information on him other than that he is supposed to have lived in Maryland. But what I am trying to find out now is if the Mary E. married to Francis Marion Donaldson (son of James W. and Mary A. (Ball) Donaldson was a Soper from Maryland.
