I have a copy of the 1860 census showing Fred Wassman in Washington, D.C. I believe he may be related to my great grandfather, Anton Wassman, who was identified on his passenger list in 1862 as coming from Germany to Washington. How can I find city directories for the years 1862 to 1866 to see if they are listed as living in Washington, D.C. I can't find Fred in the 1870 census, but my great grandfather, Anton, is in the Cincinnati census in 1870. Thanks for any help with this.
