    1. [WashDC] Douglas/Burch/Burak Washington D.C. Families
    2. I have a huge brick wall, that evolves the Alexandria, VA area. The only family I can find with the Douglas name that come close to solving my Brick Wall is a William G. Douglas that I find with a Paul in the 1900 census in Washington D.C. Area. I need to eliminate this family in order to move on in the research. I could do this if I could find siblings that give information about Paul and his whereabouts. There are two siblings I have traced through the 1930 census: Wirt (Wert/West) shown Wirt Raymond in his WWI registration born 22 Jan 1889 (Washington D.C.) who is shown married to a Charlotte in the 1910, 1920, & 1930 census. She was born abt 1890. In the 1920 and 30 census they have a son name George W Douglas born about 1914. In the 1900 he has a sister listed as Mable, which is shown as Maude and Maud in the 1920 (Wirt & family are living with them) married to a Thomes F Burak 1920 and Thomas F. Burch 1930 census, born 1863 & 1869 respectively. Maud was born between 1873 and 1875 depending on the census. I cannot find a death on any of these people (Wirt Raymond, Charlotte, George W Douglas, or Thomas F.or Maud E or D Burak/Burch). I am researching a Paul. If I could eliminate this family, it would help a great deal. If you have any leads on where and when any of these people died, so I can pull an obit, I would greatly appreciate it. I you have a lead on a living George W. Douglas I would appreciate it also. Marlene ************************************** AOL now offers free email to everyone.
