Hello list, I have acquired an antique photo of an ancestor. I would imagine it is cir 1869 and is in need of restoration. Where would one look to find company's that are reputable to take on this type of repair? Is there some sort of a society that may advise me? I currently have a tea towel draped over it out of the direct light. Thanks, Brenda
Brenda, What kind of damage does your picture have? My daughter and I have had some success with our own old pictures that have been damaged by brown spots, some fading and picture peeling off the backing paper. We have scanned them and sent direct to her computer and she has done a wonderful job of repairing the copy as sent to her computer and then reprinting. If that would help, we would be happy to give it a try without damaging your picture further. My God provides my every need according to His riches in glory. Amen ____________________________________________________________________________________ Never miss an email again! Yahoo! I suggest you go to the Photographs & memories section of Cyndi's List: http://www.cyndislist.com/photos.htm. Scroll down to the part concerning Photo Restoration & Care.
