Social Security charges $27 for copy of original application too. I suppose when you think about it, the cost of man hours in researching something we have requested has gone up too. And yet, we can still get copies of marriage certificates from the Circuit Courts and sometimes a death or birth record for $2.50 and a stamped self addressed envelope, we do pretty well. My God provides my every need according to His riches in glory. Amen ____________________________________________________________________________________ Finding fabulous fares is fun. Let Yahoo! Until about 4 years ago is used to be only 7 dollars for a copy of the SS5. If you have everything digialized, and the person has the social security number it should not cost that much. If there is a search required then they have a right to raise the price. But for the simple photocopy with info you have it is ridiculous to charge 27 dollars. The only wanted to make more money, because more and more people were getting into genealogy.
