I will try to make this as clear and to the point as I can..... John S Paxton was born 8 June 1814, census records say in MD. He married Hannah Barrow or Burrows 18 Sept 1837. She was from England. Together, they had Mary, Amelia, John William, James Walter, Matilda H, Emma, Samuel, Kate, Esa, Hannah, Everett, and Josias. At the time of the 1860 Census, Anna Burrough was enumerated as age 18. I am assuming she is Hannah's sister or neice who moved in to help with Hannah's last pregnancy. Hannah and the last son Josias died soon after the census was taken in June 1860. George s Neill born 1813 in VA and Sarah Ann ?? born 1818 in MD had 5 children in Washington DC. They were Sarah, M??, Susan, Leroy, and George. There is a possibility of a 6th child named Hannah. George Sr died in 1858. John S Paxton married Sarah Anne Neill 2 April 1861 in DC. They had only one child, Lewis Matthew Paxton born 1864. He married Ellen Delila Carroll in 1883. I have 2 pages of interrments for Oak Hill Cemetery showing many of the people listed along with children and spouses. Another name that is mentioned several times is Gayle/Gale. Both Paxton and Neill men had considerable holdings at the time of their deaths. This is a "nut-shell" version of the family, but I was really wanting to get in touch with anyone who might be interested in the same sir names. There are many questions and a few holes in my 'family pages', but I would love to share!! I also would love to find out who Sarah Anne Neill was. Clear as mud, huh??? Thanks for your time and efforts! Margo _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com
