Eileen, You write them a letter, specifying that it goes to the Washingtoniana Room, giving them as many pertinent details as you have such as full name,date of event etc. Enclose a check for $1.00 and a stamped self addressed envelope. If they find nothing they will return your letter with a note on the bottom and your check. Sometimes that note will suggest another place to look.
