Hello, I'm looking for any information on an Edward DAVIS who was listed in the DC City Directories between 1845 to 1865 as a shoemaker. Membership records of Dumbarton Church, Georgetown, DC indicate there was a Mary Davis whose name was first recorded June 16, 1822 (age 9), daughter of Edward DAVIS of Bridge Street, Georgetown. In the 1876 DC City Directory there was a Lucy A. DAVIS, widow of Edward DAVIS. There were also a James W. DAVIS and an Eli DAVIS, both shoemakers, listed in the DC directories.
