I don't have anything on Michael Fitzgerald as a groom, but I do have a page from St. Patrick's Church, 619 Tenth Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. that lists the same name as a witness on a marriage register. I will list the names on the page in the event it helps anyone. Some of the writing is hard to make out. The register is for 1854 and all marriages were performed by Father Boyle. Sept. 26 - Married John Turner & Johanna Fitzgerald. Witnesses, Michael Fitzgerald & Catharine Ryan. Sept. 22 - John Negnin (hard to read-could be Neanin, etc.) & Ann Crahen. Witnesses, Thomas Crahan & Mary Neenin. Sept. 30 - Married Thomas Ward & Ann Kelly. Witnesses, John Carroll & Ann McLean. Oct. 1 - Married Patrick Downes & Maria Ragan. Witnesses, James Burke & Bridget Cleary. Oct. 3 - Married Patrick Cunningham & Ann Talbot. Witnesses, Michael Nash & Mary McCarthy. Oct. 10 - George Viehmann & Jane French. Witnesses Frederick Hecker & Margaret Harman (mixed). *** Oct. 10 - Married Thomas McNamara & Mary Conners. Witnesses, Patrick Brady & Julia Maack. Oct. 10 - Married Michael Maloney & Mary Flaherty. Witnesses, Patrick Maloney & Mary Welsh. Oct. 24 - Daniel Murphy & Mary Connell. Witnesses John Brady & Ellen Fleming. ***My interest is George Viehmann & Jane French. I haven't actively searched in DC in a while, but I would very much like to learn more about Jane French's parents. I had hoped the church record would help with that, but it didn't. I have their children's names and one daughter, Martha, married my other DC interest, William Bailey, son of William & Elizabeth Bailey, of DC. I hope the list helps someone, and I will gladly share information with anyone researching my names. I don't have any other information on the marriage register list.
