    3. Dear Sue, Thank you for an interesting history/geography lesson and I for one can always use one, but when were the counties formed and in whose honor were they named? If those families/surnames were being honored or were still honored at the time the ancestor was named wouldn't it be more likely that the ancestor was named after the family surname then after the county? Such as Baltimore being named for Lord Baltimore. Of course it all comes out the same in that the ancestor had that name.
