    3. Deborah, I looked at the tree that P.I. Fox posted. On the index there was a Margaret Grayson Galt, b. 1865 so I looked at her. These were her parents: Father: Sterling M GALT b: 23 Nov 1796 in Carrol Co, Md Mother: Margaret GRAYSON b: 17 Nov 1798 It doesn't say where the mother was born, but perhaps somehow this Margaret Grayson was connected to the William Grayson for which Grayson county was named???? Intriguing, anyway. Funny how it's not enough that we do our own lines, but we become interested in others too :-) Sue Dotson Buzzybee@prodigy.net ----- Original Message ----- From: "Deborah Jaquiss" <djaquiss@pressroom.com> To: <WashingtonDC-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, June 03, 2002 8:42 PM Subject: Re: [WashingtonDC'' ] Carroll Grayson Galt > Dear Sue, > > Thank you for an interesting history/geography lesson and I for one can > always use one, but when were the counties formed and in whose honor were > they named?
