    1. Re: [WashingtonDC'' ] DC marriages on ancestry.com
    2. I don't know about ancestry.com, but if you want an indexed list of marriages in DC between 1811 and 1858, you should look at Pippenger's book at 975.302 in an appropriate library. It lists the groom and bride and date of wedding in alphabetically order. John in Tennessee. If anyone knows of Everett Scott who married Carrie Belle Foxwell in 1886, I would apppreciate it. Neither of them were in the census of 1900, and their daughter of 10 years was staying with her grandmother. Everett Scott was in the census of 1920 as a "roomer" in DC and was listed as being SINGLE. In the census of 1930, he was apparently living in an apartment and was listed as a WIDOWER. When he died in 1931, he was also listed as a widower. His obiturary stated that his wife and parents were dead. I would really like to know what happened to Carrie Belle (Foxwell) Scott who was 27 when she married. Any advice would be appreciated.
