    3. This is really a question which covers a very broad area including Alexandria. About 1937, the cavalry regiment at Fort Myer in Arlington used to exercise their mounts by riding out into the countryside and into the suburbs in the very early morning hours. On several occasions they passed by my front door--805 Mount Vernon Avenue in Del Ray. Does anyone recall similar experiences? Thanks, Bob McArtor

    3. Bob, Could you tell me where Del Ray is? I have an ancester who lived in Del Ray in the early 1900's but I have never heard of it before.
