Hi Bill, Yes, I too am getting numerous emails with the Bugbear virus attachment, and it's a real pain. Most of the addresses coming in are unfamiliar to me, but one of them was a direct copy off of someone who is on the New River mailing list -- his initials were copied so it looked like it was coming from him, and the email address was his only the server name was changed. He knew nothing about it, and his computer was clean, so it was someone who had copied his user name and address to do it and it went out to everyone on the mailing list. I'm sure the problem is that when we post to the list, our address goes into everyone's computer, and then if they get a virus, we're in there and sitting ducks. I think that's why so many people have quit responding publicly on the lists, and only reply privately. It's a shame, because it undoes the purpose of the lists. I've been tempted at times to unsubscribe from lists, also. What I did was re-evaluate my lists, and looked at the be! nefit I got from them versus the pain of this virus thing. I do have Norton, and it does trap the viruses, it's just a pain to get the warning screen every time one comes in. So what I did was dump all the lists I really wasn't getting that much out of, and kept only a select few important ones. That at least keeps it at a minimum. Actually, I'm convinced the mailing lists are at the bottom of many of my getting so many spam messages, too......
