If someone has access to city directories in D.C. for any point in the 1920s, would you please look-up: William Johanne LA VARRE Jr. who worked for the Smithsonian and was a writer Other names: Lucil'e (Lucie/Lucille) LA VARRE (sister) Lelia Goddin HAYNES LA VARRE (mother) William Johanne LA VARRE Sr. (father) Claude Andrews LA VARRE (brother) We couldn't find them in the 1920 census but I have seen several references to them being 'from Washington' by about 1923.
