Cecile. Found a William S. Craven, at www.Ancestry.com. It is from Wisconsin Births 1820-1907, William S, Craven 29 Jul 1881 in Waupaca, WI Reel 0305 Number 002139. I believe Waupaca is a county in WI. Also, found one William H. Craven died 16 Oct 1883, in Waupaca, WI. That could be his father or grandfather. There is a 1900 Larabee, Waupaca, WI., Census that has William and Mary with son William born about 1882. Sounds like your folks. Helen --------------------------------- It's here! Your new message! Thank you so much for taking the time, yes it does sound like him, I'm just wondering why my father woould be born in Canada and there is no record of him and Ina E Goodwin. Again thank you. Cecile, He was probably born while the family worked there. Wisconsin is some what close to Canada like Washington state; it was a great logging area. If you go to www.usgenweb.com choose Wisconsin, then the county of Waupaca, you may search the web site. I found the William H. and Mary Craven, I mentioned in my last e-mail to you. It says that he was a Carpenter born in Pennsylvania and she was born in Ohio. Now, one more thing. You ask the Washington DC Mailing List about Washington State, Washington DC and Washington State are about 4,000 miles apart being on different coast.. You may want to go to that state's Mailing List. Do you know the name of the city in Washington, where he died. I may know the County and be able to send you in the right direction.
