When the admin of a list I'm on passed away last summer the site with her obit asked for registration etc. What others on the list told the rest of us to do was make up the info, from the email address on. Quite a few chimed in that they routinely do that in order to read stories...they also do this for the same reasons you said. The cookie part, I believe you can take off cookies afterwards. margy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sue Dotson" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, May 24, 2005 2:09 PM Subject: [WashingtonDC'' ] Frederick News Post > >Try Frederick News Post Archives online. > > Brenda, > > Thank you for the suggestion. Margy, Thanks for the suggestion. I feel dumb for not thinking of that! You are right, the cookies can (and should) be removed -- I do that with others routinely. Of course, if I made up an address I would hate if it actually happened to belong to someone and I was responsible for them getting spam. (Wonder if that's why I get so much?!?!)
