I am new to this list and thought I would ask if anyone else is descended from or researching the following families located mainly in upper northwest (mostly Tenleytown/Friendship Heights) DC or from nearby Montgomery County Maryland married into upper northwest DC families. Most of these families were here from at least the 1850s. Some of these families had branches in other parts of DC. Some of these families owned shops or did business in Georgetown or downtown DC. Bohrer, Huddleson, Huddleston, Lansdale, Paxson, Paxton, Renshaw, Shoemakers, Tomlinson, Walther, Wolford Collateral lines are Barnard, Butt, Chappell, Conner, Connor, Crenshaw, Dawson, Deakins, Derrick, Fawcett, Karrer, Leyhan, Maynard, McKinnon, Morris, Pope, Pusey, Richards, Robey, Sonnemann, Spates, Strong Also, possibly Fischer I am interested in sharing information.
