Betty, Nancy, and list, I, too, am interested in records from Providence Hospital. My gggrandfather died, probably at Providence, at the beginning of the Civil War in DC (abt. October 1861). Have record of medical expenses paid from his estate to Providence. He was a physician living in DC (1860 Census), possibly a contract doctor for the Union troops, as his wife and some of his children were still shown on the 1860 Census at his home in Maryland.
