Just wanted to thank all those on the list who helped with my BEACH ancestors. Now I need some more advice. My ancestor William BEACH died by drowning in 1857. Since this was what would be considered a violent death would there be a police record of the occurrence. Also are there newspaper archives available for that time period? If either of these are in existence how would I go about getting the records. Most grateful for any help.
