    3. Michael: You might try MLK Library's website: http://dclibrary.org/mlk/washingtoniana/gd-genealogy.html Also, I know Ancestry.com has one or two city directories online, but you'll probably have to subscribe to view them. It's well worth the cost. The original city Does anybody have good information on what city directories are available? I am having trouble digging the reference out of the library catalogs. For instance, I know the Sutro library in San Francisco has a series of Washington DC directories, but it also has many gaps. Some places had directories provided by different vendors (don't know if this applies to DC). However, I have been unable to find Washington DC's city directories in the online catalogs at CSL (Sutro) and other libraries, trying to look beyond local resources. I am particularly interested in directories from 1900-1902 and 1908-1914, altho the whole period 1895-1930 is what I am studying. Anyone have any advice? Libraries to search? Kept your successful catalogue query string and can forward it to me? Thanks, ==mwh Michael Helm Richmond CA

    3. You can access the Wash. DC City Directories at your local Family History Center. I think they're all on micro-fiche.
