    3. Hi, Elizabeth & List-- Fort Lincoln Cemetery 3401 Bladensburg Rd Brentwood, MD (301) 864-5090 5 miles from the center of Washington, DC I last visited there in the Fall of 1999. As cemeteries go, they were neither helpful nor unhelpful. I provided a name & date of death and it took them nearly 30 minutes to find this mid-1960s interment in their records. I had a copy of the newspaper obit with me, and if I hadn't had that I feel that they would have told me that they had no record. They handed me a map & pointed me in the general direction but that was about it. There were no groundskeepers that I could see to ask for help, and many of the graves were unmarked. A few of the newer markers had numbered locations on them, which helped a bit in confirming that I was in the right general area. Although it was a dry day, there were several places that were signicicantly overwatered and very muddy, making the going difficult. It's not my favorite of the DC area cemeteries!
