Congressional Cemetery is about to unveil their new website very soon. It is now in beta testing but will include online obituaries for many persons buried there. This may not include every single person buried in the cemetery, but does cover a number of persons. The interment index is not available online as of yet. It is in the process of being updated and may be available in print and/or CD in the near future. There are plans for it possibility being available online, but this is up for further discussion at this time. As the current genealogical researcher for the cemetery, I can do lookups through the records or you may visit the cemetery Monday thru Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Please note that most lookups done by volunteers are restricted to surname and given names. No long lists of surnames. You may wish a copy of pages from the interment book at a nominal cost. This helps support funding for the cemetery as it is non-profit and volunteer operated. You may send your requests to me and I will respond as soon as I can.
