Hi again, I have had several requests for the book "The Sacrificial Years." Enjoyed each response. I will check a second bookstore tomorrow to try to find additional copies of the book. I'll keep a list of names in order of their receipt. The book mentions (several times) a Major HAPGOOD of D.C. who served as Paymaster. Whitman sometimes worked for him to earn money to buy the soldiers food and token gifts. Any Hapgoods on this list? Sherry
