If your public library system has The Historic Washington Post (an online database), you could look up the Sinclair Hotel in that. There is a search function: I found a lot of material on a couple of ancestors who were in DC in the early 1900s. Do you have any dates for the Sinclair Hotel? There are a lot of local histories of this area out there, from the "postcard books" to academic works. A time frame would help, A newspaper ad from a certain year-a family letter etc...any kind of time estimate. Several here have access to old newspapers or directories - a general era would help. The Library of Congress website also has a lot of old historic photos for DC and other places: http://www.loc.gov/rr/ I did a search for Sinclair Hotel, but nothing seemed to turn up. There was one in New Hampshire so I figured it wasn't the correct one.
