    1. [WashingtonDC'' ] Re: WashingtonDC-D Digest V01 #243
    2. Hi Yvonne, I'm afraid the only one I know a death date on is Nellie Freeman. My grandmother had the death notice in her collection, and now that I'm looking I see there are two, with two different dates, and both were married to a William S. Freeman. It seems like I remember asking my grandmother about that before she died and she told me they were two different people, but I can't remember now. I will have to ask my Dad and see if he can remember. Anyway, one notice says: "Freeman, Nellie C. On Friday, December 1, 1961, Nellie C. Freeman of 3404 Snepherd St., Mt. Rainier, Md., beloved wife of William S. Freeman, and mother of Mrs. Barbara K. Skinner, Mrs. Nellie D. Howlin, Mr. Karl A. Young, Jr., and a stepson, Mr. James W. Freeman. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Madeline M. Gleeson, and two grandchildren....." and the other: "Freeman, Nellie E. On Sunday, March 22, 1953, at Sibley Hospital, Washington, D.C., Nellie E. Freeman, (nee Snowden) of 4021 37th St., Mount Rainier, Md., beloved wife of William S. Freeman, mother of James W. Freeman, sister of Charlotte S. Ballie....." I'm almost certain the second one is the one my grandmother was close friends with, and the first one was another Nellie he married after his first wife Nellie died. But I will ask my Dad, just to be sure. 3. Thanks, Sue. I would be grateful for any information. Do the obits indicate burial places? I know that Thomas Stouton Freeman was buried at All Faith Episcopal Cemetery, Huntersville, St. Mary's County, MD in 1909. My father's funeral book (June 1946) shows visitors' signatures for Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Freeman, Annie May Freeman, and Annie M. Freeman (Anne Myrtle Burroughs) -- all of Mt. Rainier. None are buried at All Faith.
