I sent a request from the D.C. Archives website last weekend, got several error messages, but today received almost all the requests (except one) from them. I thought the waiting list was so long I'd have to wait a year or more to get it. Looks like things are improving. Very delighted and the information knocked down one of my walls, but not my most difficult walls. Still I'm very delighted and shocked that the response time was much shorter than I expected. Isn't it amazing how us genealogists can get so excited over receiving death certificates in the mail. My family thinks I'm nuts and can't understand it. Bill
