    3. They sure are from Fauquier. My Grandmother grew up in Marshall (on Rectortown Road) and my Grandfather grew up in the Orlean/Hume area. My grandmother was a Jeffries. They are both buried in the Marshall Cemetery. We have a lot of names connected to the family of course. O'Bannon, Downs, Darr, Davis, Unger to name a few. To my knowledge we do not have any Stephen/Stevens in the family. I will look, however, in my Utterback book and see if there are any references. I do have a genealogy on my hard drive. I became interested in the family at a very young age because of the publication of The Utterback Family in 1939. 3. Wasn't Utterback's store in Fairfax County, or perhaps just inside Loudoun County. I remember seeing it as late as the 1950's __________________________________ Yahoo! Mail - PC Magazine Editors' Choice 2005 http://mail.yahoo.com

    3. Yes it was and there is an Utterback Store Road in Fairfax. I think it was in Fairfax. My family of Utterbacks was one of the 13 families that came to this Country in 1707 and settled Germanna which was the colony, between Fredericksburg and Culpeper, where they now have a museum and a Community College. They left Germany, ran out of money in London, and finally made a deal and were endentured for 10 years. They were iron miners but really were put there to protect the English from the Indians. This is a short version.
