I have a subscription to Godfrey Library as well, but I'm uncertain as to what you are looking for. Are you interested in his obituary or something else. Here's one I found: MANSFIELD, WILLIAM R., of 3720 Upton st nw, on June 20, 1959, father of Mildren M. Austin and grandfather of James Robert Martin of Fairview. Mass Services at Chambers Funeral Home, 1400 Chapin st. nw, on Tuesday, June 23, at 10 a. m. Interment Washington National Cemetery. I recently found out the full name of my grandfather, William Robert Romeo Mansfield, born in DC 7 April 1886. William Robert is a pretty common set of names, but the Romeo makes it a little more unique. As I was searching Ancestry.com for information, I came across numerous references to a man with the same name, listed with publication dates of The Washington Post, ranging from 1904 to 1924. I don't have access to the newspaper records on Ancestry, and don't know another way to access Post data. I have the exact dates (examples: 5 Aug 1904; 6 July 1914), but they're too numerous to list here (about 30 dates). Does anyone on this list have access, and if so, would you be kind enough to look at a couple of these publications to see what information might be there? Or, if there's a way I can see the records, I'd appreciate knowing how. Thank you! Pat Patricia Rogers ============================== Search the US Census Collection.
