I contacted the Lee Funeral Home in Clinton, Maryland, a couple of years ago on the offchance that a family member MIGHT have been buried by Lee. Some other members of the family had been, so Lee was a possibility. The young lady I spoke with at that time informed me there would be a $20.00 change for them to SEARCH their records whether they had any information or not. $20.00 would have been expensive for copies of the records, but for a search it seemed to be outrageous. Don't know if that's what they charge today, or if that was just a number they quoted to discourage genealogists. I know some funeral homes and cemeteries are less than helpful, while some go out of their way to help (Gasch's in Hyattsville and Marshalls in Suitland fall into the helpful category). Marshalls have the records for the Deale and Wilhelm Funeral Homes, too. Dies anyone know if the records for the Chambers Funeral Home are in existance and, if so, where they are located?
