Is there a book that would show a death date in 1934. I don't know if this person died in DC or Alexandria but she was buried in the Wilkes Street Cemetery Complex in Alexandria and was from Alexandria. The date of death was approximately Feb 1934. Also I am looking for information on William Grady. Any help would be appreciated. Eileen in South Caroliina

I don't know of one. Do you have an obituary? The DC library has some sort of index for obituaries that appeared in The Washington Post. Since you're posting from SC -- was she from South Carolina? If she was, there might be an obituary for her in the newspaper that covered her part of the state. (When I lived in South Carolina, I saw lots of obituaries for folks who'd been born in South Carolina or had lived there, and died somewhere else.) The library in Greenville has a obituary index for The Greenville News in the Carolina Room. It covers the period from the early 1920s to 2000.
