I'm playing catch-up on my e-mail. You might have more luck if you can track down the particular archives for the type of Baptist church. (I'm not a Baptist, but I know there are several types of Baptist churches.) Look for the web site for whatever type of Baptist church this particular church is and then look for the archives that includes DC. I've done research for years on some ancestors who were clergy in the South Carolina Methodist conference. The archivist is constantly pleading for churches in that conference to send in their old records as many churches' records have gotten lost.
