Julie I accessed the web site for the Washingtoniana Division of the Martin Luther King Library in downtown Washington, DC, at www.dclibrary.org/washingtoniana I then clicked on the collection overview link, scrolled down, and found the following: Directories Various directories are housed in the division, including the city directories from 1822 to 1973, real estate assessment directories from 1886 to present, telephone directories from 1907 to present.
