Jan, I haven't seen anyone mention it yet, but it should be said. If you get a library card from a library around you, that has "Heritage Quest", you can usually get it online at home, for free. Otherwise, it is like all of the other genealogy sites, you will have to pay for it to receive it. It is certainly worth checking out your library to see what they offer. If the library in your town does not have these perks, check the surrounding towns. That's what I did. I live in Dayton but my daughter lives in Columbus, and I got mine there.
