    1. About Stones and Bones
    2. Susan in Missouri Stones and Bones was originally published in book form by the Prince George's County Genealogical Society. From the information I read in the book and subsequently on the CD version which I own, they began with information from a survey conducted by the Toaping Castle branch of the DAR. Members of the PG Co Gen Society then volunteered to "walk" the various cemeteries and do a stone by stone recording of them (although many of the stones originally recorded had been destroyed since the DAR survey.) Many people also checked the church registers for information on burials that might not be marked by a stone. The Gen Society published the information in book form and later published an addendum with corrections and additions. The cd which is currently available contains both the original Stones and Bones and the addendum. It records church cemeteries and private (family-type) cemeteries located in Prince George's County. It does not list interments in the "commercial" cemeteries, such as Fort Lincoln, etc. I have seen the original book in libraries in PG County, and it's probably in other places too. The CD can be purchased from the Prince George's Genealogical Society. Here's their e-mail address: http://www.rootsweb.com/~mdpgcgs/ According to the web site the CD is available for sale for $36.00 for non-members. The address and phone number and an e-mail address are shown in the contact us link on the web site. Barbara
