Could you check this stones and bones for any Dooley's. I'm looking for a James Dooley he was born in Virginia around 1855 that all the info I have for him on his birth. Can anyone help? From the information I read in the book and subsequently on the CD version which I own, they began with information from a survey conducted by the Toaping Castle branch of the DAR. Members of the PG Co Gen Society then volunteered to "walk" the various cemeteries and do a stone by stone recording of them (although many of the stones originally recorded had been destroyed since the DAR survey.) Many people also checked the church registers for information on burials that might not be marked by a stone. The Gen Society published the information in book form and later published an addendum with corrections and additions. The cd which is currently available contains both the original Stones and Bones and the addendum. It records church cemeteries and private (family-type) cemeteries located in Prince George's County. It does not list interments in the "commercial" cemeteries, such as Fort Lincoln, etc. I have seen the original book in libraries in PG County, and it's probably in other places too. The CD can be purchased from the Prince George's Genealogical Society.
