    3. Go to the old washington post on heritage quest and put in his name do an advanced search and in a drop down box their is a spot to look for marriages -----Original Message----- From: isobar03 [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, July 18, 2005 2:44 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [WashingtonDC'' ] Marriage cert. advice please Hello, I have just received my long lost Grandfathers death cert. from Washington and to my surprise have found he had a widow. The marriage must have happened some time between 1929 when he was given a Civil Service Comm. from the regular US Army and his death in 1946. He was James Henry Wright and was working in the Ordinance Dept of the US Gov. at the time of his death. According to an obit in the Washington Post, July 6th 1967 his widow Maude E Wright (formerly Bowen) nee McKelvey was a Past President of the National Capitol Aux. No 127 V.F.W. I am interested to know what this was. Any advice on how to search for this marriage would be greatly appreciated as my research is limited to the internet from so far away. Thankyou, Barbara Victoria Australia. ============================== Search Family and Local Histories for stories about your family and the areas they lived.
