    3. This is the "mystery man" in my family: CARROLL GRAYSON GALT, b. 1889 in Washington, D.C.; d. 14 Nov 1916 in Washington, D.C. He was a jeweler connected with the Galt Jewelry Store and family business. When he died, his uncle's widow was the First Lady of the land -- Edith B. Galt, the second wife of Woodrow W. Wilson. He married my aunt, Anna "Nan" Russell in Baltimore, MD in 1912. Is there an on-line source for Washington DC newspapers like there is for Fredericksburg, VA newspapers? I'd like to find out if there was a story written about his death, since he was only 27 and from a well-known family. I'm interested in anything about him, personally. I've held this image of a tragic figure, and am hoping to learn he had his moments of joy. Thanks for your help if anyone knows anything about this young man. God Bless You! God Bless America and Israel! America and Israel, Bless God! Praying for the Peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6; Genesis 12:3)! Love in Jesus, Donna Petersen

    2. Donna Petersen
    3. If anyone out there has come across a BLOXTON surname (aka BLOXHAM or BLOXOM) in Washington, D.C., please let me know, and I'll be more specific about what I know and don't know. Also, WILLIAM GRAY RUSSELL and SARAH BRANCH JENNINGS RUSSELL were in Washington, D.C. by 1884, possibly by 1880. Their children were: WILLIAM "WILLIE" (1882), HELEN GILBERT (1884), ANNA "NAN" (1886), HENRY "BINGHAM" (1888). She died between 1888 and 1898. I don't know if they were married in Washington, D.C. or Philadelphia, PA. He was a widower with a daughter, MABEL RUSSELL (1879) when they married. I'm willing to share what I've collected so far! God Bless You! God Bless America and Israel! America and Israel, Bless God! Praying for the Peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6; Genesis 12:3)! Love in Jesus, Donna Bloxton Petersen

    3. Is anyone on this list researching or does SKS know anything about the family of Abraham Bohrer b circa 1720 Frederick Co, VA - d circa 1759 Frederick Co, MD and wife Anna Marie maiden name unknown? We have not found where his family came from. Possibly PA and before that the Germanys and/or Switzerland. They had at least four sons - John Adam, John George, John Heinrich, John Peter, and one daughter Anna Maria who married Nicholas Fry and moved to NC. I am a direct line descendant of John Peter Bohrer b circa 1743 Frederick Co, MD - d circa 1798 Montgomery Co, MD; who according to NSDAR and other research was a Revolutionary War patriot. His wife was Maria (Mary) Magdelena Schenkmeyer b circa 1748 - d circa 1790. We have a group doing Bohrer research with descendants of both John Adam & John Peter & others. I am interested in any information no matter how small or large about the Bohrer family. We have so far found no living descendant(s) of John George Bohrer or Anna Maria Fry nee Bohrer although we know John George Bohrer had a large family.
